「瑜伽哲學(xué)」最初是在1988年P(guān)oornima大師的吉祥時(shí)刻獻(xiàn)給敬愛的瑜伽大師沙吉難陀大師的。
瑜伽認(rèn)為萬物的最高本體是梵,是整個(gè)宇宙中的一種意識或能量,微妙,強(qiáng)大,普遍,超越時(shí)空。它存在于人的自性之中。瑜伽哲學(xué)和人的思想有著極大的關(guān)聯(lián)。
瑜伽不是宗教,它是任何人都可以使用的方法,一種在這個(gè)不平靜的世界里尋求內(nèi)心安寧的方式。
瑜伽習(xí)練被稱為身心療愈之旅,能夠幫助我們從糟糕的情緒中釋放出來,雖然我們不能夠控制外部世界,但我們可以控制內(nèi)心的力量,通過體式、調(diào)息法、飲食方式和冥想達(dá)到內(nèi)在與外界的平衡,從而激起自身的療愈修復(fù)。
今天,我們通過「瑜伽哲學(xué)」的傳達(dá),來學(xué)習(xí)瑜伽中的「自我療愈」。
You can become your own doctor. In Yoga you bring health to yourself by eating the proper food, taking enough rest, fasting to eliminate all the toxins, and doing Yoga postures, while avoiding any which might aggravate pains you have. The breathing practices are also very important. You can heal yourself with fasting and by deep breathing and by directing prana to the affected area.
你可以成為自己的醫(yī)生。在瑜伽中,通過適當(dāng)?shù)娘嬍场⒊浞值男菹?、禁食排除體內(nèi)所有的毒素,以及練習(xí)瑜伽體式,同時(shí)避免任何可能加劇疼痛的體式,你可以給自己帶來健康。呼吸練習(xí)也很重要。你可以通過禁食和深呼吸,并將普拉那(能量)引導(dǎo)至患處,進(jìn)行自我療愈。
Visualize the part where you have the ache or the pain. When you breathe in direct your attention to the area. Feel that you are taking prana from outside; you are taking in beautiful vitality which is given by God through nature. Breathe in as if you are swallowing gallons and gallons of vitality. Feel that it is going directly to the place that aches. Hold your breath for a few seconds while thinking that it is going there and building up that area by removing the dead or diseased cells and tension. Then, when you breathe out, feel that you are throwing out all of the illness. It’s a beautiful practice. By doing this you can cure many of the aches and pains in the body. Prana has that power. It can penetrate anywhere and everywhere—just through your thinking. That is the secret of Yoga practice.

Even if you miss doing the Yoga postures occasionally, don’t miss the breathing practices which alone will tone up all the glands. Prana is the best tonic. Simple breathing can heal. Just divert that work energy to wherever you have a problem. Even if it’s a long-standing illness, do a lot of pranayama and, when you are practicing deep breathing, just feel that you are directing the prana to the affected part. But never strain when you do the deep breathing. You are already breathing. Just do it a little deeper—that’s all.
即使你偶爾會(huì)錯(cuò)過瑜伽體式練習(xí),也不要錯(cuò)過呼吸練習(xí),因?yàn)閮H僅是呼吸練習(xí)就能使你所有的腺體變得更健康。普拉那是最好的滋補(bǔ)品。簡單的呼吸就能起到療愈作用。你只要將這種能量轉(zhuǎn)移到任何有問題的部位。即使是一種長期存在的疾病,你也可以做大量的調(diào)息練習(xí),并且當(dāng)你在練習(xí)深呼吸時(shí),感覺你正在將普拉那(能量)引導(dǎo)至患處。但是當(dāng)你做深呼吸時(shí)千萬不要緊張。你本來就在呼吸,只要更深入一些——僅此而已。
You don’t always need a lot of doctors in your life. There’s an old saying, “One doctor: consultation; two doctors: prescription; three doctors: cremation.” Let us each take good care of ourselves. Medical knowledge is improving all the time and it will continue to improve, but today’s medicine is no good for tomorrow. Without sacrificing any life we can still find ways to keep ourselves healthy. We don’t have to torture animals to discover cures. If people just ate the right foods and led the right kind of life, there would certainly be no need for so many hospitals. Go back to nature and lead a natural life. Surely prevention is better than the cure.
你的生活中并不總是需要很多醫(yī)生。有句老話說:“一個(gè)醫(yī)生:會(huì)診;兩個(gè)醫(yī)生:處方;三個(gè)醫(yī)生:火化?!弊屛覀兠總€(gè)人都好好照顧自己。醫(yī)學(xué)知識一直在進(jìn)步,而且還會(huì)繼續(xù)進(jìn)步,但是今天的醫(yī)學(xué)對明天是沒有用的。在不犧牲任何生命的情況下,我們?nèi)匀豢梢哉业阶屪约罕3纸】档姆椒?。我們不需要折磨?dòng)物來找到治療方法。只要人們吃正確的食物,過正確的生活,當(dāng)然就不需要那么多的醫(yī)院。回歸大自然,過自然的生活。毫無疑問,預(yù)防勝于治療。
I suggest natural remedies for many ills. The elements themselves can cure the body. For example, if you have pain, you can use mud packs. Hot poultices or clay packs laid against the affected area will be helpful. The earth itself has a beautiful feeling and a healing quality. Mud is nothing else but Mother Earth. When you put it on your body you are embracing Mother Earth. Have you ever tried an oil bath? It’s a complete lubrication and will remove very many ailments. Profusely apply the oil all over the body, massage yourself well, let the body soak in the oil for a half hour or so, then wash it off under a shower. Don’t apply soap. Wipe away what’s left with a towel. If you use sesame oil, it will take away the toxins and be very helpful for arthritis and rheumatic troubles. The fat in the sesame seed is totally different from animal fat. People who have cholesterol troubles should use sesame oil in cooking and take sesame oil baths. They can even eat sesame candy if they want. The sesame seed is miraculous.

If you still have oil on your skin after your bath, mix some chickpea powder with a little water until it makes a paste and apply it. You could also use mung bean powder mixed with water or apply yogurt. When you take a shower the excess oil will come off. You can also use the same powders to clean the hair.

The best agent of cleaning is clay. Soft clay smeared all over the body leaves the skin with a fine texture. Make a thin paste of soft clay and rub it all over the body. Allow it to dry for a couple of hours, then just wash it off. See how beautiful your skin is! All the poisons are squeezed out. Earth has the maximum capacity to draw out all the toxins.
最好的清潔劑是粘土。柔軟的粘土涂抹在全身,可以使皮膚呈現(xiàn)出細(xì)膩的質(zhì)感。將軟粘土做成薄薄的糊狀涂在全身。讓它晾干幾個(gè)小時(shí),然后洗掉??纯茨愕钠つw有多美!所有的毒素都被排出。泥土具備排出所有毒素的最大效力。
If you have a fever, put a little soft clay soaked with water on some linen, fold the cloth, and tie it to the forehead. It reduces the temperature. If you have any inflammation, apply a mud pack the same way.
如果你發(fā)燒了,在一塊亞麻布上放一點(diǎn)用水浸泡過的軟粘土,將布折疊起來,然后綁在額頭上。這樣可以起到降溫作用。如果你有任何炎癥,也可以用同樣的方法涂抹泥膏。
You can also heal your body just through your thinking. Every one of your thoughts has a certain power over your body. The actions of the mind are clearly visible in certain areas. Your glands change first. Isn’t it true that the moment you think of a delicious candy your salivary glands act? That is how your thoughts affect your body. If you think that you are sick, you are surely going to be sick. Think that you are healthy, and you are healthy. Remember, you become what you think. It’s simple: think well, you become well.
你也可以通過你的思想來療愈你的身體。你的每一個(gè)想法對你的身體都有一定的力量。心靈的活動(dòng)在身體的某些部位是清晰可見的。你的腺體首先會(huì)發(fā)生變化。當(dāng)你想到美味的糖果時(shí),你的唾液腺就會(huì)分泌唾液,難道不是嗎?你的思想就是這樣影響你的身體的。如果你認(rèn)為自己生病了,那么你肯定會(huì)生病。如果你認(rèn)為自己是健康的,那么你就會(huì)很健康。請記住,如你所想,如你所得。道理很簡單:積極地思考,你就會(huì)變得很好。
Think very well, and others also become well. Yes, you can send prana to others. You can send a spiritual charge by your touch. If you are really charged with that prana, you can send it long distances by thought alone. You can even charge a material object with spiritual vibrations through a meaningful offering to God in the form of food, objects, or talismans. You may then give or send this object to others or use it yourself. Good electricity conductors, such as gold, silver, and copper are also good for charging with spiritual vibrations, or prana.
積極地思考,別人也會(huì)變得很好。是的,你可以將普拉那(能量)傳遞給其他人。你可以通過連接來傳遞一種靈性能量。如果你真的充滿這種積極的普拉那(能量),你僅僅通過思想就可以將其傳遞到很遠(yuǎn)的地方。你甚至可以通過食物、物品或護(hù)身符的形式向造物者進(jìn)行有意義的奉獻(xiàn),讓一個(gè)物質(zhì)實(shí)體充滿靈性的振動(dòng)。然后,你可以將這個(gè)物品給予或贈(zèng)送給他人或者自己使用。良好的電導(dǎo)體,比如金、銀和銅,也適合導(dǎo)入靈性的振動(dòng)或普拉那。
Healing is a divine thing. I’m not quoting anything, nor must you accept what I say. There was a time at the beginning of my spiritual life when I did a lot of healing—sometimes without even seeing my patient. But at a certain point something dawned in me and said, “You shouldn’t be doing any healing through your own projection. You should not think that you are doing anything. Let God’s will act through you.”
療愈是一件神圣的事情。我沒有引用任何內(nèi)容,你也不是必須接受我所說的話。在我的靈性生活開始的時(shí)候,有一段時(shí)間我做了很多治療——有時(shí)甚至都沒見過我的病人。但在某個(gè)時(shí)刻,我突然醒悟過來并說道:“你不應(yīng)該通過你自己的投射(不自覺地將自己的欲念等加諸他人)來進(jìn)行任何治療。你不應(yīng)該認(rèn)為是你在做所有的事情。讓造物者的意志通過你來行動(dòng)。”
Certainly we feel sympathetic toward people who are suffering, and we must be able to help them. But when we are helping them we should at least know the reason they are suffering. Suffering is a means of purgation. This doesn’t mean we should ignore anyone suffering, saying simply, “Oh, that’s their karma being purged. Why should I do anything?” No, we must still have a sympathetic heart. But if we want to remove suffering, we should do so indirectly, and know that this capacity comes from God.
當(dāng)然,我們會(huì)對受苦的人感到同情,而且我們必須幫助他們。但是當(dāng)我們在幫助他們的時(shí)候,我們至少應(yīng)該知道他們受苦的原因。受苦是一種凈化的方式。這并不意味著我們應(yīng)該忽視任何受苦的人,只是簡單地說:“哦,那是他們的業(yè)力正在被凈化。我為什么要幫他們呢?”不,我們還是必須擁有一顆同情的心。但是如果我們想消除他們的痛苦,我們應(yīng)該間接地這樣做,并且意識到這種能力來自于造物者。
Don’t even let people know that you are doing anything to heal them. Instead, ask them to do something to heal themselves. Why should we waste our energy on people who are not ready to undergo a little discipline? If we heal them, tomorrow they will get into the same problems that caused the suffering in the first place. People must learn what has brought their suffering. They must recognize their mistakes so they won’t repeat them. If somebody comes for help from cancer which is caused by smoking but won’t quit smoking, why should we treat that person? The cancer will come back.
甚至不要讓別人知道你在盡一切努力治愈他們。相反,讓他們做些事情來進(jìn)行自我療愈。我們?yōu)槭裁匆丫速M(fèi)在那些不愿意經(jīng)受一些磨練的人身上呢?如果我們治愈他們,將來他們又會(huì)陷入同樣的問題,而這些問題正是最初造成他們痛苦的根源。人們必須了解是什么給他們帶來了痛苦。他們必須認(rèn)識到自己的錯(cuò)誤,以免重蹈覆轍。如果有人因吸煙患癌而來尋求幫助,但又不戒煙,我們?yōu)槭裁匆委熯@個(gè)人呢?癌癥還會(huì)復(fù)發(fā)的。
People should face their own karma. It’s the best education. If we heal someone who has not learned his lesson, it’s like a professor writing an exam for a student who hasn’t studied or learned anything. There can be no real promotion. So when someone comes for help, just advise him to undergo some healthy disciplines, like asana and pranayama, and without his knowledge, send your prayers. Then he will say, “I was advised to do certain things which I did, and I was healed.” If you have helped remove his suffering, you did so indirectly. You are safe from your own ego, and his discipline has purged his own karma, so he won’t have to repeat the suffering.
人們都應(yīng)該面對自己的業(yè)力。這是最好的教育。如果我們治療一個(gè)不吸取自身教訓(xùn)的人,就像教授為一個(gè)沒有學(xué)習(xí)或?qū)W到任何東西的學(xué)生填寫考卷一樣。這樣不可能得到真正的提升。因此,當(dāng)有人來尋求幫助時(shí),只需建議他進(jìn)行一些健康的訓(xùn)練,比如體位法和調(diào)息法,并且在他不知情的情況下,默默地為他祈禱。然后他就會(huì)說:“有人建議我去做一些訓(xùn)練,這樣做了之后我就痊愈了。”如果你幫助消除了他的痛苦,那你就是間接地這樣做的。你可以遠(yuǎn)離你的小我,而他所經(jīng)受的磨練凈化了他自身的業(yè)力,所以他不會(huì)再遭受同樣的痛苦。
