Fitness and training is becoming very popular. If you find yourself wanting to get into shape or you have a new year's resolution to lose weight, you’re going to start taking fitness very seriously.

Cardio-vascular training

It's anything to train your cardio-vascular system. Your heart and your lungs, anything that gives that sort of a workout, and many exercises work on your cardio-vascular system.

One of the most popular cardio-vascular exercises that you can do is running. Another one is biking and swimming. So these are exercises you can do for cardio-vascular training.

We can also call this aerobic training.

Strength training

Strength training is anything to do with weights. Pulling down a bar, just any exercise dealing with weights, you build up the muscle mass. This is an anaerobic training. If you're looking to build muscle or tone up, you do strength training.

Endurance training

If you're interested in doing marathons or half marathons or any sort of race, that requires you to run, bikes, swim for very long distances. You do endurance training.

HIIT

HIIT stands for “High Intensity Interval Training”. You do exercise three or four times, and you rest like for a very short amount of time. For HIIT, they require you to do one exercise for one minute, you just have to do it very fast. And then you can only rest for like twenty seconds.Then you have to do it again. By the end of HIIT training, you are exhausted.

HIIT is a combination of that very popular these days.

Body weight exercises

If you want to do some strength training, you can do body weight exercises. You don't need a gym. You don't need equipment. You don't need weights. You need nothing, just your body.These are exercises you can do at home or anywhere

If you want to train, you could tell your personal trainer what type of exercise you are looking to do or what your fitness goals are. These are some of the terminology we use in fitness and at the gyms.
